Australian Formula 3 debutant Harri Jones clinched the Certica City of Goulburn Cup after winning the third and final 18-lap race earlier today.
Jones showed great promise at the start of the weekend, being the fastest during practice. His victory after this outstanding debut performance cements his bright future in Formula 3.
“I can’t thank the entire team enough for the weekend. It was my second time ever driving the car and without the help of everyone in the team, my driver coach James Winslow Racing in particular, there is no way I would’ve gotten up to speed so quickly,” said Jones.
Fellow Gilmour Racing teammate Calan Williams, who won the first race, finished in second place, which was enough to seal the round win and remain the reigning 2017 Australian Formula 3 Champion.
R-Tek Motorsport’s John Magro took the third spot after winning the second race and finishing third in the final one.
Magro’s teammate Roman Krumins took fourth outright to finish as National Class title winner.
