Health and Safety Reminders for Contractors Working in the Field

Today, April 28, is World Day for Safety and Health at Work, a day that promotes the importance of safe and secure workplace environments.

Since many independent contractors actually work in the field and not in permanent offices, taking care of oneself while on the job should be a priority. You will need to be wary of dangers such as hot weather, road hazards and even aggressive pets.

Here are a few health and safety reminders when working in the field.

1. Be contactable.

Make sure your phone is fully charged and always use a buddy system.
